Design development and product diversification
The basic objective of this activity will be the up-gradation of skill of the weavers through appropriate design and technology inputs and to enable them to produce innovative value added items to copy with the fast changing market demand. Another objective will be to provide adequate infrastructure support to the cluster weavers to enable them to have assessed to wide range of modern and market acceptable designs. Under the design development intervention, it is proposed to establish a design work shed having facilities for computer aided designs.
Outcome (2010-11)
The Centre Govt, had not released its share for this component. We had finalised the vender for Computer Aided Textile Design System. It will be setup as the central govt. will release its share for this component. The state govt. has released its share to the tune of Rs. 1.50 lacs.
